The Bloggers

Self Portrait Oct' 2010

My name is Daniel Cull and I am the principle blogger on this my eponymous blog.

On this page I’d like to introduce you to the variety of people who have contributed “guest posts” to the blog. To all of whom I am thankful for sharing their time and expertise with my audience.

So, without further ado may I present my guest bloggers…

Richard McCoy:

Portrait by Chad Gallion (2006)

Richard McCoy is an Associate Conservator of Objects and Variable Art, at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA). He’s a long time user of a variety of social media, and in addition to blogging on this blog, he now has his own blog, he blogs for the IMA, and has an excellent monthly column called ‘No Preservatives’ in Art:21.

Julie Heath:

Portrait of the Economy. By Julie Heath. (Feb 2009).

Julie Heath was the first Coordinator for the Lunder Conservation Center at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery, the most famous ‘goldfish’ bowl conservation lab in the states. Julie now works as Museum Market Manager for True Vue Inc, and of course I should mention Julie is also quite an accomplished artist.

Crista Pack:

Crista Pack Weaving for Textile Block, at WUDPAC.

Crista Pack is currently a graduate student at Winterthur/University of DE Program in Art Conservation. Before that Crista was a Conservation Technician at the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis, IN, however, I met Crista even before that when she was a Pre-Program Intern at the NMAI. Crista’s contribution to this blog was her first ever blog post, however, she has since gone on to write blog posts on the ECPN blog, and on the WUDPAC Class of 2013 blog.

Jeff Guin:

Jeffery Guin

Jeffery Guin is a Web 2.0 superstar. Jeff works for the NPS, his website lists the array of online projects he is involved with, including the brilliant ‘Voices of the Past’. What’s most impressive is visiting Jeff in Natchitoches, to discover whilst everyone else is melting he’s dressed all in black looking like Johnny Cash not feeling the humidity at all. A cool character.

Laura Brill:

Laura Brill

Laura Brill is now involved with the fabulous ‘Collections Care Alliance’, Laura was previously a Kress Fellow, at the Shelburne Museum. Which is where after much discussion online, and in conference calls, we were finally able to meet.
